ML Surgical Microscope Services is a service-oriented independent spinoff of Medlink USA, hand-builders of the best reconstructive surgical microscopes since 1989. The core Medlink culture makes it challenging to allocate resources in a way that a high-performing service operation would require.  In recent years, the trend toward small surgical clinics devoid of biomedical staff with electronics and optics training, and toward the outsourcing of preventive maintenance to third parties clearly unable to safely repair Medlink products, have made these shortcomings a great deal more important. ML Surgical Microscope Services will focus on the long-term health of the entire historical Medlink fleet, worldwide.

Medlink service customers may expect the following changes:

-A more direct process to speak to a technician.

-A much lesser degree of local staff involvement over the phone before we come out.

-More proactive outreach, in an attempt to employ our small staff as efficiently as possible, to keep all Medlink units like new.

-Increasing capabilities over time, in the form of special tools that allow our field service professionals to do even deeper, more fundamental work on the fleet. This trend already distinguishes us from any competition.

-A gradually developing catalog of upgrade parts and assemblies, which can be purchased on an exchange basis, installed at your location. They will be freshly remanufactured from 100% inspected new and used parts, as appropriate.  All finishes fresh, no worn parts, and a fresh warranty.  This will eventually open the door to any vintage of Medlink product being transformable into the latest iteration, just like the new ones.  Short of that, if any aspect of your unit is getting ratty and ugly, it can eventually be traded for one indistinguishable from new.  Think about those small outfits that can rebuild your classic car from the ground up, better than new.
